As I was perusing for my blog about the beige tones that designers have graced us with this season , I became completely mesmerised by Burberry's beige heel matched up with the beige sock. Not only is that look ba-na-nas, it can be duplicated with every heel you already own, just a question of getting the right sock to match!

I've blogged in my Mr.Mademoiselle article about the ankle sock and the loafer now let's bring it up a notch and match your socks & your heels. I am by no means the creator or trend-setter of this style but I am most definitely an admirer. I kind of went Socks & Heels picture crazy sooooo you guys get the idea and have no reason but to try it out!

Maxi in the Fall

As per my "About Me" section, I am continuously inspired by the people and places around me. A friend of mine recently changed her profile picture and she is wearing this great striped Maxi dress (pictured below) paired with a great pair of brown heels and a skarf, in turn making it an amazing fall look. She purchased hers at a thrift store for 6$ making me that much more jealous!

Maxi dresses should not be reserved for summer time, you can easily achieve a stylish fall look with a long dress.

Discussing with a friend of mine over breakfast this morning, you can pair your Maxi dress (20$ at H&M if you're on the lookout for a simple plack one) with a pair of ankle boots and socks or wear nylons and pair with heels (or vice versa). Top it off with a jacket/shrug/oversized sweater and you've got a perfect fall look.

Keep in mind to keep the material in cotton or jersey for a more casual/fall look.

Thank You Mother Nature



Ahhh...Mother Nature brings with her this fall the beautiful colors of the earth. My personal favorite is the beige tones that ooze with warmth. This fall and winter, wrap yourself up in the beige/brown/tan/off-white tones that designers have blessed us with.

H&M's fall/winter 2010 lookbook has taken Daria Woodbury and draped her in beautiful Tan jackets and leggings that will look fabulous with knee-high boots.



Mango has also brought out their beige tones to their winter wonderland lookbook. There is still a presence of the manly couture in their tailoring (cargo pants), as well as on a number of runways this season.

I'm a big lover of oversized sweaters and tight pants paired with a great pair of leather riding boots.

 There are so many ways to approach this color palet, so embrace them and enjoy the falling leaves and the introduction of colder months.
