I WANT ... NEED Koolaburra

The Aussies really have a lot of great stuff going on in Fashion. There are a number of designers that I've featured and loved that are from down under and here's another item to add to my Christmas Wish List. They're called Koolaburra's and there a fantastic twist on the ever so comfortable overpriced Uggs. Every year I get suckered into buying a pair and they do not last through a Canadian winter for the life of them. Now I'm only assuming that Koolaburra's stand the test of time buuuut most importantly, they stand the test of fabulosity. If you're going to spend 300$ on average look pair of Ugg boots...why not go all out for a pair of leather or fringed ones for the same price!! They list on their website that they deliver to Canada but they seem to have missed the province of QC. So if you have loving relatives in the States or other parts of Canada, you might be the proud new owner of a pair of Koolaburra's. F.Y.I you can always check out e-bay!

Arizona Dreams H&M Autumn 2010

For all you lovers of fashion blogs you might've already seen H&M's Autumn 2010 catalogue on Knight Cat, but for those of you who havn't stumbled upon the fabulousness that is H&M this season, then prepare to be amazed. Supermodel Anja Rubik has embraced the perfectly titled Arizona Dreams editorial spread and rocked out some of H&M's must-have items this season. The heavy knits, ponchos, suede jackets...ahhh I want it all!!!

If Fairytales Were Real...

Holy Fashion Imagination...TopShop's "Unique" A/W 2010 Runway is straight out of my wildest dreams. I am a big fan of children fairytale stories, mostly because the really good ones have deeper meanings then what were told during story time as children...Little Red Riding Hood being the prime example of ones "stolen innocence" and other great innuendos I was taught during English Lit classes. But onto the subject at hand, the out of this world Makeup/Hair/Clothes/Decor ...EVERYTHING from this show is TO DIE FOR. If I could pay millions of imaginary dollars, it would have been to be at London Fashion Week back In February for this runway show. This was there ready-to-wear fashion show and a running theme would be the chunky knitted tights that are a must-have item this season along with the oversized aviator/bomber jackets. I'm still in awe of this show as I type these words...this is the reason why fashion is so gosh darn awesome and mindblowing. It allows you to take your crazy imagination and make it a reality..AMAZING.

Thakoon Tycoon F/W 2010

Model Backstage of Thakoon F/W 2010

It seems as though Asian-American designers are taking over the Fashion world. Wang, Derek Lam, Philip Lim and Thakoon. There unique aesthetic has put them on a platform all their own and it seems that they will remain quite untouchable... for the time being.

Thakoon's Fall/Winter 2010 Line was full of warmth and fur and I want to dive into every piece and lie in it. The richness and luxurious detail to every Thakoon piece is breathtaking. I'm completely taken by the hooded furs and the adorable fur heels...I want one of each please!

I want to take the time to highlight the reason why I show lines that were shown months ago at fashion week's all over the world, because I believe them to be relevant now. I want to show you what direction your shopping sprees should be going as they match up to the season of the moment. I'll leave the precursors of fashion to the power house magazines. Though I believe we should always be a head of the curb, I don't think you guys are all looking for the next mini skirt and floral print shirt you can only wear in 6 months. There is nothing more frustrating then buying something you can't wear right away!!!
