Thursday night was one to remember! Arabian Night @ Cipriani's Downtown, followed by good times at Avenue and 1Oak. It seems that I can't get enough of the downtown Restaurant that is famously spawned from Harry Cipriani. The food is divine and the crowd is stunning, but my favorite part is the lounge upstairs where you can enjoy a nice Bellini in the company of your friends. Whoever said that NY is the city that never sleeps, wasn't lying! There's always something to do which makes it hard to refuse since I know that I'm only here for a short period of time! I've truly been lucky to find some great people with whom to share this experience with because this could've been a very dark experience.
On another note, other random things I've noticed about the city is that
people EVERYBODY is a runner or traning for a marathon of sorts. Everywhere you look, there's someone running past you at the speed of light which only highlights my lack of athleticism. Another strange phenomenon is that of the canine obsession that seems to have gripped all New Yorker a like. Even the most unlikely of people can be found walking their dog! What's even more entertaining is the effort that is put into the grooming of their furry companions! From sweater vests to studded collars, there is no sparing money on there four-legged friends. Only in New York...
Hugs & Kisses,
Karine
